Our grants have been helping grassroots organizations change the lives of people in Milwaukee and around the world since 1992.

Improving the quality of life for everyone

At the Helen Bader Foundation, we believe everyone deserves a safe childhood, productive working life and dignified aging. That’s why we direct our grants to organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people in Wisconsin and around the world.

From providing safe places for Milwaukee youth to go after school, to bringing the public and private sectors together to help people get back to work during difficult economic times, the groups we fund are focused on finding innovative solutions to the challenges people face.

Real challenges, real solutions

In short, through grantmaking, Program Related Investments, and collaborations, we connect people to each other, with  ideas, purpose, and compassion.

With the Foundation’s support, our partner organizations have a real impact. Our commitment to healthy aging and Alzheimer’s research has helped make Wisconsin a national leader in how our society views growing older. By providing funding to arts organizations, we’re sharing Helen Bader’s love of music and creativity with others, enriching the cultural lives of people in our community.
